Hi! My name is Julie Nicolai and I am the Second Grade teacher here at Cataract Elementary. I live in the country near Melrose with my husband, Cory, and two daughters. Ashlee is a new four year old, and Cortney is 7 months.
I graduated from Melrose-Mindoro High School, and have lived in Melrose my entire life. When I am not at school, the most important thing is my family and spending time with them! I enjoy being outside and in the woods. I like hunting, camping, and being on the water. Oh, and I attend many baseball games because my husband thinks he’s a big kid.
I have been teaching at Cataract Elementary for eight years. I have taught in a variety of grades, first through third. I received my teaching degree from the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse, and my Master's Degree in Education from there also.
The best thing about being a teacher is the students. The families here at Cataract are also nice to work with. Every day in the teaching field is a different day and a learning experience. You just never know what it will bring!
